The Early Adopter programme

  • Invite 5 people who join Zoomee, add a pet and start keeping records
  • Keep premium features for as long as Zoomee is running, at no cost
  • We check qualifying referrals at the end of each calendar month
  • One account per person. Inviting yourself does not count

How it works

Every Zoomee member has a referral code and a personal link, both found under Menu → Refer friendsin the app. Share either one, or send an invitation straight from that screen by entering someone's email address.

Sending an email invitation is the surest way to get credit. If the person you invited signs up with the address you sent it to, we connect the two accounts automatically and neither of you has to type anything. If they sign up with a different address, they can still enter your code under Were you referred? the first time they use the app.

A referral counts towards the Early Adopter programme once the person you invited has created an account, added a pet and begun recording that pet's information. Someone who installs the app and never uses it does not count, because the programme exists to find people who will get something out of Zoomee.

Your progress is shown on the same screen, as a count out of 5. Reach 5 qualifying referrals and premium features are unlocked on your account at the next monthly review.

Early Adopter programme terms and conditions

1. The promoter

The Early Adopter programme (the "programme") is run by Three Pixels Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of Zoomee. Questions about the programme can be sent to team@zoomee.app.

2. Who can take part

The programme is open to anyone aged 18 or over who holds a Zoomee account in good standing. Employees of Three Pixels Pty Ltd and their immediate families may use the referral feature but are not eligible for the reward.

Participation is automatic: every eligible account has a referral code, and no registration or purchase is required.

3. What counts as a qualifying referral

A referral qualifies when all of the following are true.

  • The person you referred was not already a Zoomee member and had not previously held an account.
  • They joined using your referral link or email invitation, or entered your referral code in the app before being connected to any other member.
  • They created their own account, in their own name, using their own email address.
  • They added at least one pet and recorded information about that pet, showing genuine use of the app rather than a bare sign-up.
  • Their account is still open and in good standing at the time of the monthly review.

A referral can only be credited to one member. Where more than one member could claim the same person, the earliest invitation takes precedence. A member cannot be referred more than once, and the connection cannot be changed once it is made.

4. The reward

A member with 5 qualifying referrals receives Early Adopter status, which gives free access to Zoomee's premium features for as long as Zoomee continues to operate. There is no charge and no renewal to remember.

Early Adopter status covers the premium tier as it exists from time to time. We may add higher tiers in future, for example for professional or high-volume users, and those tiers are not included in this reward. The features that make up the premium tier may change as the app develops; the reward is access to that tier, not to a fixed list of features.

The reward is personal to the member and their account. It cannot be sold, transferred, gifted or exchanged, and there is no cash alternative.

5. When we check

Qualifying referrals are reviewed at the end of each calendar month. Where the threshold has been met, Early Adopter status is applied to the account shortly afterwards. Referrals that have not yet qualified stay on your count and can qualify in a later month.

6. What is not allowed

The programme is for introducing Zoomee to people you actually know. The following are not permitted and will not be credited.

  • Referring yourself, or entering your own referral code.
  • Creating additional accounts, whether in your own name, under another name, or using addresses that reach you, in order to refer yourself.
  • Creating accounts on someone else's behalf, or signing anyone up without their knowledge.
  • Adding invented pets or records purely to make a referral qualify.
  • Posting your referral link where it is presented as an offer from us rather than from you, including coupon and voucher sites, or paid advertising that bids on our name.
  • Sending unsolicited bulk messages or email of any kind. Invitations must go to people who would expect to hear from you.
  • Any automated, scripted or other artificial means of generating sign-ups.

When you share your link, be straightforward that you may receive a benefit if the person joins. In some countries this is a legal requirement, and it is the honest thing to do in all of them.

7. How we check, and what happens if the rules are broken

We review referral activity for signs of abuse, including duplicate or linked accounts, sign-ups from the same device or network, addresses that differ only cosmetically, unusual numbers of referrals in a short period, and accounts that show no genuine use.

Where we reasonably believe the rules have been broken we may disregard the affected referrals, withdraw Early Adopter status, and in serious or repeated cases close the accounts involved. We will tell you if we do this and you can ask us to look again by writing to team@zoomee.app. Our decision on whether a referral qualifies is final.

8. Changes and ending the programme

We may change these terms or end the programme at any time, for example if it is being abused or is no longer sustainable. We will give reasonable notice on this page before the programme closes to new participants.

Ending the programme does not take away Early Adopter status already earned. Referrals counted but not yet qualifying at the point the programme closes will not be carried forward.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer protection laws that apply to you and cannot be excluded.

9. Your information

Taking part means we record which account referred which, and whether a referral has qualified. We do not tell the person you invited anything about you beyond the name you chose to send the invitation under, and we never tell you whether an email address you entered already had an account. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

10. Governing law

The programme is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and is subject to our terms and conditions. Where these promotion terms and the general terms differ on the programme, these terms apply.

Other promotions

We do not have any other promotions running at the moment. Any competition or prize draw we run will be listed on this page with its own terms, including the dates it runs, who may enter, how winners are chosen and any permit numbers required in the state or territory where it operates.
